A00 aluminium ingot price in China soars by RMB630/t to exceed RMB19000/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price climbs by RMB600/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has soared by RMB 630 per tonne on November 12, marking the second consecutive day of hike. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the price is standing at RMB 19,430 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 19,410 per tonne and RMB 19,450 per tonne. The spot contract is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne.

In Gongyi and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 630 per tonne and RMB 600 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,430 per tonne and RMB 19,460 per tonne, respectively, followed by the increase of RMB 555 per tonne and RMB 550 per tonne in Chongqing and Foshan to RMB 19,405 per tonne and RMB 19,460 per tonne. In Tianjin, primary aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 510 per tonne to RMB 19,360 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang and Wuxi has climbed by RMB 485 per tonne and RMB 440 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,370 per tonne and RMB 19,430 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has also recorded a sharp growth of RMB 600 per tonne to close at RMB 21,750 per tonne on November 12, found SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 21,700 per tonne and RMB 21,800 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have escalated by RMB 200 per tonne to RMB 20,550 per tonne and RMB 21,750 per tonne, respectively.

Among primary aluminium input costs, caustic soda (32% concentration & 50% concentration) prices in Shandong have slipped by RMB 25 per tonne to settle at RMB 1,075 per tonne and RMB 1,525 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 1,050-1,100 per tonne and RMB 1,450-1,600 per tonne, respectively.

Aluminium powder price, on the other hand, has grown by RMB 0.60 per kg to settle at RMB 22.15 per kg on November 12, with average prices likely to range between RMB 21.1-22.2 per kg, learned SMM.
