
On Wednesday, August 11, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has jumped by RMB 210 per tonne to stand above RMB 20,000 per tonne, following the two consecutive days of decline. According to the Shanghai Metals Market data, the price has come in at RMB 20,080 per tonne as of August 11, with average prices likely to range between RMB 20,060 per tonne and RMB 20,100 per tonne. The spot contract is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 70-30 per tonne.

In Wuxi and Hangzhou, primary aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 215 per tonne to RMB 20,080 per tonne and RMB 20,095 per tonne, respectively, followed by a hike of RMB 200 per tonne in Foshan to RMB 20,250 per tonne. In Gongyi and Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 170 per tonne to RMB 19,970 per tonne and RMB 20,060 per tonne, while the price in Tianjin has grown by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,010 per tonne.
However, Chongqing and Shenyang have witnessed a drop in primary aluminium ingot price on August 11. In Chongqing, the price has decreased by RMB 35 per tonne to RMB 19,915 per tonne, and in Shenyang, it has dropped by RMB 25 per tonne to RMB 19,860 per tonne.
Among primary aluminium input costs, China’s average alumina spot price has inched up by RMB 2 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,605 per tonne. In Guizhou and Guangxi, the price has grown by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,480 per tonne and RMB 2,485 per tonne, respectively.

The price of aluminium powder has slightly increased by RMB 0.20 per kg to stand at RMB 23.65 per kg as of August 11. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 23.6-23.7 per kg.
Aluminium alloys prices have surged by RMB 200 per tonne, which brought aluminium alloys (ADC12) price at RMB 19,500 per tonne, aluminium alloy (A356) price at RMB 20,650 per tonne and aluminium alloy (A380) price at RMB 20,700 per tonne.
