Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$2,586/t; SHFE aluminium inched up
Three-month LME aluminium increased 1.25% to end at US$2,586 per tonne on Tuesday. As of Tuesday August 10, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2579 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2579 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2585 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2585 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2551 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2551 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1339100 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 826875 tonnes and Cancelled Warrants were 512225 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2565.36 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 3112 per tonne on Wednesday, 11 August, 2021.
The most-traded SHFE 2109 aluminium closed up 0.15% to RMB19950 per tonne, with open interest down 5879 lots to 245000 lots. The most active SHFE 2109 aluminium contract gained 1.59% to close at RMB20,175 per tonne last night. The contract is expected to trade between RMB19900-19,900 per tonne.
