After a rise of 14,000 tonnes in primary aluminium inventories on Monday, January 13, the A00 aluminium ingot price has further recorded a decline of RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,300 per tonne, as of January 14, according to Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,280 per tonne and RMB 14,320 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 20-160 per tonne.
Foshan, Gongyi, and Chongqing have witnessed the highest plunge of RMB 120 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,280 per tonne, RMB 14,340 per tonne, and RMB 14,100 per tonne respectively. Wuxi, Shenyang, and Linyi have seen a drop of RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,240 per tonne, RMB 14,290 per tonne, and RMB 14,310 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Tianjin, the price has dwindled by RMB 95 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne respectively to RMB 14,250 per tonne and RMB 14,290 per tonne.
On the decline in A00 aluminium ingot price, the aluminium alloy (A356) price has also decreased today, on January 14, by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 15,000 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,950 per tonne and RMB 15,050 per tonne.
However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 15,000 per tonne and RMB 15,900 per tonne, respectively.
The aluminium input costs have recorded no change today except aluminium powder as its price has dropped from RMB 17.95 per kg to RMB 17.85 per kg.
