China aluminium market notes RMB6/t spike in alumina spot price; A00 ingot price jumps RMB80/t up

The Shanghai Metal Market, today, on August 4, has marked a jump of RMB 6 per tonne in China’s alumina spot price, with it officially halting at RMB 2,893 per tonne, while in Shandong and Shanxi, the alumina spot prices have seen a spike of RMB 10 per tonne, closing at RMB 2,855 per tonne and RMB 2,910 per tonne, respectively.

Also, in Henan, the alumina spot price has increased by RMB 5 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,915 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has seen a rise of RMB 28.57 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,421.07 per tonne.

According to the SMM market price chart, China’s aluminium ingot price has augmented by RMB 80 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,530 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,510 per tonne and RMB 18,550 per tonne.

The eight major provinces in China have all experienced escalating prices today, with the aluminium ingot price surging by RMB 80 per tonne in Gongyi, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shenyang and Linyi. While Wuxi and Hangzhou recorded RMB 18,530 per tonne, Gongyi marked RMB 18,470 per tonne, Shenyang remained at RMB 18,480 per tonne, and Linyi offered aluminium ingots at RMB 18,580 per tonne. In Foshan, the aluminium ingot price floated by RMB 60 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,560 per tonne, whereas Tianjin witnessed a hike of RMB 50 per tonne to officially anchor at RMB 18,550 per tonne. Lastly, in Chongqing, the aluminium ingot price gained RMB 40 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,520 per tonne.

China’s low carbon aluminium price also soared by RMB 52 per tonne, officially settling down at RMB 19,228 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have both heightened by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 26,000 per tonne and RMB 27,000 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) have both escalated by RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,150 per tonne and RMB 19,650 per tonne, respectively. The price of aluminium alloy (ADC12) has strolled RMB 50 per tonne upward, halting at RMB 19,000 per tonne.

China’s aluminium powder price has earned RMB 0.10 per kg to close at RMB 20.30 per kg, with the average prices hovering between RMB 20.20 per kg and RMB 20.40 per kg.
