The decision took effect immediately upon publication of the announcement.
{alcircleadd}Argentina first initiated an AD investigation into aluminium foil imports originating from China in March 2019, following a request filed by a domestic aluminium producer. One year later, a positive final ruling was issued in March 2020, leading to the imposition of an AD duty of 28 per cent on the FOB price on the relevant products for a period of five years.
As the expiry of the measures approached, Buenos Aires launched its first sunset review of the AD measures in February 2025 and simultaneously initiated a change-of-circumstances review. During the course of the review investigations, the AD duties were suspended.
