Calculate Embedded Emissions for Unwrought Aluminium (HS7601)
Enter your input
Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

3A Composites adds aluminium composite panels with a foamed core under HYLITE
2MINS READ
Under the well-known brand name HYLITE® the supplier 3A Composites recently started to also market aluminium composite panels with a foamed core.
The core material for the 3 mm and 4 mm -panel thicknesses is foamed in a manufacturing process specially developed for this purpose. The result is an ultra-light aluminium composite panel that is up to 80 per cent lighter than conventional steel sheets or up to 60 per cent lighter than aluminium sheets yet provides the same flexural rigidity.
The foamed core panel features other superlative technical properties. Major advantages include dimensional stability at high temperatures and excellent digital printing results, due to the high quality aluminium strips used in the production process.
Applications range from totems or canopies over store decoration to signage and POS / POP displays.
As a specialist for all sort of sheet material in the area of Corporate Identity Design 3A Composites thus extends once more its product portfolio, this time in the area of aluminium composite panels.
Aluminium composite panels from 3A Composites at a glance
Dibond was originally developed in 1992 by 3A Composites as one of the first aluminium composite sheets for the display and signage market. The panel combines two 0.3 mm aluminium surface layers with a polyethylene core and comes with a protective film on both sides. Front and reverse side are either stove lacquered, with white or coloured surfaces and with either matt or high-gloss surfaces, anodized or even textured.
Hylite is an aluminium composite panel with a polypropylene core and aluminium outer skins. Two different core systems (compact or foamed) mean the range offers great variety for very different applications. The compact core (available in thicknesses of 1.2 mm and 2 mm) offers a special feature: it can provide a hinge function, which withstands repeated bending without damage. The foamed core (available in thicknesses of 3 mm and 4 mm) scores with its extremely light weight.
