Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Expanding, Adding Jobs
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry has dealt with the economic ups and downs, but says it's coming out stronger than ever and wants to grow even more, while helping the city's economy.
"They're committed to Manitowoc. The jobs are huge, especially in this economy, and I think the commitment to Manitowoc is even more so," Mayor Justin Nickels said.
The Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry has been a fixture in Manitowoc for almost a century. It's looking like it will stay that way for many years more.
"We wouldn't be expanding if we didn't think we could fill capacity," the company's Kory Brockman said.
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry employees are excited about what's next -- and for them that means a 35,000-square foot addition and 43 new jobs.
