Vedanta Aluminium creates new National record in Vessel loading

Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Aluminium Limited, a subsidiary of London stock exchange listed Vedanta Resources Plc, created a new national record at Kandla Port in bauxite loading. The company achieved this feat along with the handling agent SVCT Pvt. Ltd.
The new record was created when 36400 MT bauxite ore loading was accomplished in a single day and 45500 MT in 36 hours by loading v ROSITA on 27th May, 2011 which is a new record for bauxite ore loading in any of the Indian ports.
“Vedanta is coming in a big way with more vessels and talking the challenges to break its own record,” said Vedanta officials.
Mr. HC Venkatesh Traffic manager, Kandla Port Trust conveyed his greetings to the Vedanta management on such marvelous performance.
