US aluminium scrap exports to Malaysia see a hike of 18% to 48,700 tonnes in October 2021

According to the US census bureau report, the United States’ aluminium scrap exports to Malaysia stood at 48,700 tonnes in October 2021. That was an increase of tonnes or 18.20 per cent from 41,200 tonnes in September 2021. In August, the export volume was at 56,900 tonnes, which indicate a downfall of 15,700 tonnes or 38.11 per cent in the following month.

On a year-on-year basis, the United States aluminium scrap exports to Malaysia in October 2021 stood 3,900 tonnes or 8.71 per cent higher than 44,800 tones.

In three-month time, the United States aluminium scrap exports to Malaysia totalled 142,900 tonnes.

From January to October 2021, the United States exported 428,000 tonnes in total, which was a surge of 26.63 per cent from 338,000 tonnes during the same period last year.

The United States total aluminium scrap exports in October 2021 came in at 199,000 tonnes - month-on-month up by 16.37 per cent from 171,000 tonnes. On a year-on-year basis, the export volume in the said month was 8.15 per cent higher than 184,000 tonnes.
