UK LM6/LM25 aluminium ingot falls on sentiment as volumes remain strong

UK high-grade secondary aluminium ingot prices fell on Wednesday as deals at the top end dried up on continuing economic uncertainty. But demand remains healthy in the near term and producers are well sold through November at least. “We’re doing a few bits and pieces on the spot market, but we’re pretty well sold forward,” one producer said, adding that forward sales mean he does not have much material to sell for the rest of the year.
