Australia’s largest aluminium smelter Tomago Aluminium was due for a stable and trustworthy infrastructure with high visibility into IT performance to support their 24*7 availability for their systems.

The aluminium company is independently managed, while it is a joint venture owned by Rio Tinto Alcan 51.55%, Gove Aluminium Finance Ltd 36.05% (owned 70% by CSR Limited and 30% by AMP Limited) Hydro Aluminium 12.40%.

Tomago Aluminium with upgraded control and awareness has made its development more effective, consolidated server footprints, enhanced system and data security by migrating its Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) HANA environment to Red Hat Enterprise Linux SAP Solutions with IBM hardware.
