According to the LME notice, the second phase of the Hua Chin facility started operations this year and has an annual production capacity of 480,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots.
The application comes as Indonesia continues to expand aluminium production and exports. Additional supply from the country could help ease global market tightness linked to disruptions caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
