Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has awarded the Suzlon Group with a fresh 400 MW wind energy EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract. It has further strengthened the long-standing partnership between the two companies. The latest award pushes their cumulative collaboration beyond 1 GW of installed wind capacity across four Indian states.
{alcircleadd}The project will be developed in Andhra Pradesh under TPREL's DevCo model, with Suzlon supplying and installing 127 units of its S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.15 MW.
Apart from manufacturing and installation, Suzlon will also oversee commissioning and long-term operations and maintenance of the project.

Commenting on the development, JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, said the repeat order reflects the confidence customers place in the company's technology and execution capabilities.
He mentioned, "Crossing the 1 GW partnership milestone with Tata Power Renewable Energy reflects the trust both organisations have built over the years. Together, we remain committed to accelerating India's clean energy transition."
Additionally, the project aligns with the strategy of Tata Power Renewable Energy for expanding utility-scale renewable assets while reinforcing India's decarbonisation aims. The collaboration also reinforces the growing adoption of the DevCo model for large-scale renewable energy deployment.
Regarding this, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group Girish Tanti referred to the “advanced hybrid and round-the-clock renewable energy solutions” carried out by the partnership to support “India’s energy transition.”
“As an EPC project under the DevCo model, this order demonstrates how integrated development and execution can accelerate renewable energy deployment,” he added.
As Suzlon continues to mark its presence in India's wind energy sector, with already 21.7 GW of wind energy capacity across 17 countries, the contract boosts its expanding project pipeline.
