SMM A00 aluminium ingot price augments 1.92% Q-o-Q, up RMB120/t today; China’s alumina price adds RMB4/t
On August 16, the Shanghai Metals Market noticed a considerable price hike of RMB 120 per tonne, with the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price closing at RMB 18,590 per tonne. The average aluminium ingot prices have ranged between RMB 18,570 per tonne and RMB 18,610 per tonne.
SMM A00 aluminium ingot price historical data points out that the rate of aluminium on May 16 was RMB 18,240 per tonne, which augmented on a Quarter-on-Quarter basis by RMB 350 per tonne or 1.92 per cent to reach what it is today.
China’s eight central provinces have shown escalating prices today, with Wuxi recording the highest upturn of RMB 180 per tonne to finally settle at RMB 18,660 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium ingot price has shot RMB 160 per tonne up to rest at RMB 18,640 per tonne, followed by RMB 150 per tonne surge in Shenyang, with the price halting at RMB 18,570 per tonne. Next, we have Tianjin, with a price influx of RMB 135 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,645 per tonne. In Gongyi and Chongqing, there have been similar augmentations of RMB 110 per tonne, with prices reaching RMB 18,560 per tonne and RMB 18,580 per tonne, respectively. In Foshan, the aluminium ingot price gained RMB 90 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,560 per tonne, and lastly, in Linyi, the aluminium price added RMB 80 per tonne to close at RMB 18,520 per tonne.
The price of low-carbon aluminium in China has increased by RMB 108 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,289 per tonne.
The high-purity aluminium price (99.99%) and the high-purity aluminium price (99.996%) have gone RMB 100 per tonne up the SMM live price graph to close at RMB 26,100 per tonne and RMB 27,100 per tonne, respectively.
China’s average alumina spot price has accumulated RMB 4 per tonne to close at RMB 2,910 per tonne, while Shanxi and Guangxi have recorded a rise of RMB 10 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,930 per tonne and RMB 2,895 per tonne, respectively. The alumina price in Henan has jumped RMB 5 per tonne up to close at RMB 2,930 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A380) and price of aluminium alloy (A356) have uniformly escalated by RMB 100 per tonne, settling down at RMB 19,000 per tonne, RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne.
China’s domestic aluminium powder price has soared by RMB 0.10 per kg to halt at RMB 20.50 per kg, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.40 per tonne and RMB 20.60 per tonne.
