Scania’s new U-BODY tipper to boost productivity of Indian miners
<p>Scania CV India, a subsidiary of Scania Group, has launched the new U-BODY tipper truck for the country&rsquo;s mining sector. The global manufacturer of heavy duty vehicles and engines aims to increase productivity across a wide section of mineral exploration including coal, bauxite, and iron ore with the CV while bringing down the Total Operating Economy, an industry source reported.</p> <p>The launch of the U-BODY tipper for exploration of coal, iron ore, bauxite, and other minerals is part of Scania India&rsquo;s vision to build innovative and sustainable transport solutions for the country&rsquo;s mining sector.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img style="vertical-align: middle;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/scania.jpg" alt="News" width="517" height="387" /></p> <p>Commenting on the new offering Scania&rsquo;s Director, Business Support for Commercial Vehicles India, Hanna Johansson said, &ldquo;Besides being a manufacturer of heavy trucks and buses, Scania is increasingly developing new ways of delivering customer value based on a full service offering that delivers life cycle profitability.&rdquo;</p> <p>&ldquo;Our solutions approach will add value to customers and bring down total cost of ownership,&rdquo; she said.</p> <p>&ldquo;Scania leverages innovative thinking, develops partnerships and works extensively within the logistics flow to capture efficiencies and secure customer profitability,&rdquo; noted Raghavan Srinivasa, Director, Sales (Trucks) at Scania Commercial Vehicles India.</p> <p>{googleAdsense}</p> <p>Scania has been serving the mining and construction sectors since 2007 through its JV partnership with Larsen &amp; Toubro (L&amp;T). In India, the company has two manufacturing facilities for trucks and buses with a total production capacity of 2,500 trucks and 1,000 buses.</p> <p>Scania&rsquo;s business vision for India is to become a partner to the Government&rsquo;s ambition of developing Smart Cities by bringing in sustainable urban mobility solutions.&nbsp;</p>
