The project was delivered in partnership with Italian engineering firm Properzi and adds a high-quality aluminium wire line with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes. According to the Ministry of Public Business Sector, this single addition effectively doubles Egyptalum’s total aluminium wire output to 120,000 tonnes a year.

Minister Mohamed Shimi described the expansion as a step toward higher-value-added production, explaining that it enhances the company’s competitive standing both at the domestic and overseas markets. He added that the new line is already helping to meet local demand while creating wider scope for exports.

Egyptalum currently ships its products to several international markets, including Spain, Poland, Morocco, Italy, Syria, Slovenia and Greece.
