NALCO delivers solid Q2 growth, sparking 13% share surge

India's one of the most prominent players in segments like bauxite, alumina, aluminium and power, National Aluminium Company (NALCO) reported a surge in its stock price by 13 per cent during the intraday trading on November 10, 2025. The rise in the share price comes soon after the firm revealed its Q2 FY26 financial performance.

With a market cap of INR 465.95 billion (USD 5.61 billion), NALCO's share on November 10, 2025, closed at INR 257.35 (USD 3.10), showing a sharp increase of 9.46 per cent. Compared with the previous day's close, which recorded INR 234.40 (USD 2.82), the open gap recorded a rise of 2.49 per cent, where on November 9, the share price reached the intraday high of INR 259.65 (USD 3.13).

NALCO's financial performance at a glance

The firm's EBITDA in Q2 FY26 jumped 28.52 per cent to reach INR 20.77 billion (USD 0.25 billion), which in Q1 FY26 was recorded at INR 16.16 billion (USD 0.19 billion). Net profit rose by 34 per cent, up from INR 10.64 billion (USD 0.13 billion) in Q1 FY26 to INR 14.33 billion (USD 0.17 billion) in Q2 FY26. Quarter-on-quarter revenue expanded by 12.57 per cent, from INR 37.86 billion (USD 0.46 billion) in Q1 FY26 to INR 42.62 billion (USD 0.51 billion) in Q2 FY26. 

On a year-on-year basis, the firm's EBITDA soared by 28.1 per cent and finally settled at INR 20.77 billion (USD 0.25 billion) in Q2 FY26, up from INR 16.21 billion (USD 0.20 billion) in Q2 FY25. Net profit grew by 34.9 per cent from INR 10.62 billion (USD 0.13 billion) in Q2 FY25 to INR 14.33 billion (USD 0.17 billion) in this quarter. Additionally, revenue climbed by 7.3 per cent to reach INR 42.62 billion (USD 0.51 billion) compared to INR 39.73 billion (USD 0.48 billion) in Q2 FY25.

Interim dividend

As for the interim dividend, the Board of Directors have set INR 4 (USD 0.05) for each equity share with a face value of INR 5 (USD 0.06). The set date when the shareholders will be eligible to receive the dividend is November 12, 2025.
