Bumech signed a 29-year contract with Montenegro’s Uniprom Metals for bauxite extractions at Niksic mine.
Nikšić represents the largest bauxite reserve in Montenegro and one of the largest in Europe, having estimated reserves of 135.2 million tonnes.
Bumech has raised the production of bauxite by 11% in 2019 at Montenegrin mine which has been its operation. Bumech specializes in the scope of service, maintenance of operations and repair works of mining machinery and equipment. Bumech serves clients in Poland.
The Polish company said in a statement on 4th February’20 that Bumech extracted a total of 348,138 tonnes of bauxite from the mine located near Montenegro's second-largest city of Niksic.
The production during the autumn and winter months was also maintained at a high level, whereas in January’20 it to amounted to 30,680 tonnes.
