LME aluminium price rose 1.56% to reach at US$2609/t; SHFE price settled higher at US$3139/t

LME aluminium benchmark price closed higher for the second consecutive day by US$ 40 per tonne or 1.56 per cent on Monday, August 23.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price continued to rise for the second day in a row to reach at US$ 2,609 per tonne on Monday, August 23. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price increased by US$ 37 per tonne from US$ 2,552 per tonne to US$ 2,589 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price hovered around US$ 2,555 per tonne, down by US$ 32 per tonne from US$ 2,523 per tonne on August 20.

LME aluminium opening stock declined from 1304950 tonnes to 1300250 tonnes. Live Warrants stood at 843225 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants totalled 457025 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price settled at US$ 2,586.91 per tonne as of August 23.
