On Tuesday, September 14, LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price decreased by nearly 3.5 percent to come in at US$2,846.50 per tonne and US$2,847 per tonne, respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price stood at US$2,857 per tonne and US$2,858 per tonne. December 22 bid price settled at US$2,725 per tonne, while the offer price for the same day at US$2,730 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock for September 14 stood further lower at 1303500 tonnes. Live warrants amounted to 825200, while cancelled warrants totalled 478300 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,842.68 per tonne as of September 14.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium for SHFE edged down by US$82 per tonne to settle at US$3,460 per tonne on Wednesday, September 15.
The most-traded SHFE 2110 aluminium closed down 4.49 percent to RMB 22320 per tonne, with open interest down 47601 lots to 186000 lots.
The most-liquid SHFE 2110 aluminium contract fell by 3.16 percent to stand at RMB 22,060 per tonne last night, with open interest down 11,406 lots to 175,000 lots.
