LME aluminium price dipped US$1/t to close at US$2647.50/t; SHFE price settled lower at US$3168/t
Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.61 per cent to end at US$ 2,620 per tonne on Wednesday, August 25.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price dipped slightly by US$ 1 per tonne to come in at US$ 2,647.50 per tonne on Wednesday, August 25. But 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price grew US$ 3 per tonne from US$ 2,627 per tonne to US$ 2,630 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price hovered around US$ 2,597.50 per tonne, up by US$ 10 per tonne from US$ 2,587.50 per tonne on August 24.
LME aluminium opening stock decreased from 1295125 tonnes to 1292500 tonnes. Live Warrants stood at 847175 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants totalled 445325 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price settled at US$ 2,619.79 per tonne as of August 25.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE edged US$ 6 per tonne lower to settle at US$ 3,168 per tonne on Thursday, August 26.
The most-traded SHFE 2110 aluminium closed up 0.93 per cent to RMB 20,600 per tonne, with open interest up 18043 lots to 313000 lots.
The most-active SHFE 2110 aluminium contract decreased 0.27 per cent to end at RMB 20,545 per tonne last night.
