LME aluminium price decreases by 3.49% to close at US$3,064.50/t; SHFE price moves down by US$13

Three-month LME aluminium closed at US$3,097 per tonne, down 0.19 percent or US$6 per tonne.

On Wednesday, October 20, both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME aluminium official settlement price moved down by US$111 or by 3.49 percent to total at US$3,064.50 per tonne and US$3,065 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price scored at US$3,074 per tonne and US$3,076 per tonne. December 22 bid price settled at US$2,963 per tonne and the offer price for the same day closed at US$2,968 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock for October 20 was found to be 1098300 tonnes. Live warrants for the same day totalled at 625250 tonnes and cancelled warrants settled at 473050 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price for Wednesday, October 20, stood at US$3034.63 per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

On Wednesday, October 20, benchmark aluminium price for SHFE moved down by US$13 to settle at US$3,653 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2112 aluminium closed down RMB 1530 per tonne to RMB 22855 per tonne, with open interest down 22942 lots to 222,100 lots.
