LME aluminium price decreases by 1.07% to US$2,905.50/t; SHFE price reduces by US$33

Three-month LME aluminium opened at $2,968 per tonne last Friday and closed at $2,929 per tonne, a decrease of 0.91 percent.

LME aluminium price decreases by 1.08% at US$2,905/t; SHFE price reduces by US$37

On Friday September 24, LME aluminium cash (bid) price plunged by US$31.5 or by 1.07 percent to close at US$2,905 per tonne. The LME official settlement price also decreased by US$31.5 or by 1.07 percent to stand at US$2,905.50 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price settled at US$2,917.50 per tonne and US$2,918 per tonne. December 22 bid price was recorded at US$2,768 per tonne and the offer price for the same day stood at US$2,773 per tonne.

LME aluminium opening stock for September 24 stood at 1281550 tonnes. Live warrants were recorded at 705575 and cancelled warrants stood at 575975.

For September 24, the LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price was recorded at 2921.39.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium SHFE for Monday, September 27 decreased by US$33 per tonne to close at US$3,564 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2111 aluminium closed down 1.16 percent or 270 to RMB 23100 per tonne, with open interest down 13811 lots to 292965 lots.

The most-traded SHFE 2111 aluminium contract opened at RMB 23,150 per tonne during last Friday’s night session and moved between RMB 22,860-23,150 per tonne before closing at RMB 23,960 per tonne, down by 1.06 percent.
