LME aluminium moves down by 2.32% to settle at US$2,643/t; SHFE benchmark price decreases by US$208
LME aluminium opened at US$2,680.5 per tonne on Thursday morning and closed at US$2,553.5per tonne, down US$132.5 per tonne or 4.93 percent.
On Thursday, November 4, both LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME aluminium official settlement price decreased by US$63 or by 2.32 percent to settle at US$2,642.50 per tonne and US$2,643 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price stood at US$2,664 per tonne and US$2,666 per tonne. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price was recorded at US$2,633 per tonne and US$2,638 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock on November 4 stood at 1009725 tonnes. Live warrants for the same day settled at 621850 tonnes and cancelled warrant for closed at 387875 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,663.01 per tonne on November 4.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
On Friday, November 5, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased by US$208 tonne to stand at US$2,924 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2112 aluminium closed down RMB 325 per tonne to RMB 19780 per tonne, with open interest up 7264 lots to 215981 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2112 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,780 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 19,815 per tonne and RMB 18,750 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,885 per tonne, down RMB 1,075 per tonne or 5.39 percent.
