KTM has recently launched a new sports bike in the market named KTM 990 RC R in the sports segment of the bike within the EU and US markets. The frame of the bike is made up of a die-cast aluminium sub-frame along with a powder-coated steel trellis frame to support the main frame.
The sub-frame is made of aluminium as it is lightweight and strong, which helps to reduce the overall weight of the bike, enhancing its overall performance. Many KTM models (like the Duke and RC series) use cast or forged aluminium swingarms, which help to connect the rear wheel to the frame of the bike. The aluminium makes it lightweight and Corrosion-resistant, which helps to keep the structure safe even at high speeds.
The KTM 990 RC R is a sports bike from Team Orange, and it gives a unique look. It consists of a 15.7 litre fuel tank along with an LED projector head lamp. KTM 990 RC R would be deriving its power from the 990 Duke’s 947 cc LC8c. Moreover, the motorcycle incorporates a number of electronics within it, along with an 8.8-inch TFT dash. Although the KTM 990 RC R has been launched in the EU and US markets, it is unlikely to be launched in India, though it would enlarge its RC lineup. The price of KTM 990 RC R has been announced to be USD 13,949 in the US and USD 15,999 in Europe.
