Ferrari writes a bold new chapter as it prepares to unveil its first fully electric car. The upcoming model is not just a significant shift for the legendary Italian marque but also a defining moment that preserves its heritage while aligning with the idea of futuristic performance.
The new model will reportedly be named Ferrari Elettrica, which is likely to debut in 2026. As per the makers, the Ferrari Elettrica will certainly deliver electrifying performance while staying true to the brand’s unmistakable DNA.
Classic Ferrari line powered by futuristic technology
As mentioned earlier, Elettrica reflects Ferrari's design line by retaining the sleek, timeless proportions of a two-door coupé. There will be no combustion engine in this new line of supercars, which is a historic leap for the brand. It means Elettrica is every inch a Ferrari with zero petrol.
Electrifying performance is guaranteed
Constructed largely from aluminium, the Elettrica will feature an all-wheel-drive system powered by two electric motors producing a combined output of around 1,000 horsepower. The rear motor can generate 3x the power of the front, thus ensuring the dynamic, rear-focused handling that Ferrari enthusiasts expect. The car will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 2.5 seconds, putting it firmly in supercar territory.
Grand tourer spirit
The Elettrica’s heart is a 122 kWh battery pack, offering a generous range but adding substantial weight, over 2.8 tonnes in total. For that reason, Ferrari is positioning this model not as a track-focused racer but as a luxury electric grand tourer, designed for high-speed comfort and long-distance cruising rather than lap times.
Authentic sound, redefined
To keep up with its smart legacy, Ferrari amplifies the natural acoustic vibrations of its electric motors instead of using synthetic engine notes. After all, the organic Ferrari soundtrack will preserve the emotional thrill of driving without resorting to any sort of artificial add-ons.
