INSHARP accredits River Metals Recycling for achieving workplace health & safety excellence

River Metals Recycling (RMR) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, was re-certified by the Indiana Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (INSHARP) for achieving excellence in workplace injury and illness prevention.There was zero OSHA-recordable injury in RMR facility for five consecutive years, a rare example set by any Indiana business. The Greensburg recycling company dealing in various metal scrap including scrap aluminium and used cars achieved the original INSHARP certification in August 2014.

On achieving the re-certification, Indiana Department of Labor (IDOL) Commissioner Rick J. Ruble said, "River Metals Recycling maintains an excellent culture of occupational safety and health thanks to the hard work by their teammates... we are very impressed by what this company has accomplished for not one, not two, but more than four years straight.”
