Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

IBAAS to hold International symposium on ‘Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium Industry of Asia
2MINS READ
IBAAS plans to hold its first International symposium on ‘Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium Industry of Asia – Vision 2020’ with special Session on “Non-metallurgical bauxites and alumina products” during December 3-5, 2012 in Nagpur, India. The aluminium industry structure is rapidly changing and production centres are shifting to developing, high growth potential countries of the world. Keeping the present development pace and growing importance of Asian countries, International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) was set up in this part of the world by professionals active in various fields of aluminium industry. The association aims to stimulate, promote and encourage scientific and technological investigations and industrial development mainly in the Asian countries.
Bauxite being the main raw material for aluminium plays a big role in deciding the production and marketing of aluminium. In the present scenario where Indian bauxite resources are not being utilized properly due to a number of issues like environment protection and tribal protest and China is under pressure due to Indonesian Bauxite export tax, the symposium becomes the right place to highlight a number of issues regarding bauxite and alumina and aluminium as a whole.
IBAAS-2012 International symposium is getting overwhelming response from Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium, Non-metallurgical bauxite and special alumina industry from all over the world. About 60 abstracts on various aspects of bauxite, alumina and aluminium industry have been received. More than 70 organizations have confirmed their participation for the 3 days mega event of December 3-5, 2012. www.alcircle.com, a global aluminium industry portal for news, events and business participates in the symposium as a media partner.
The technical program of IBAAS-2012 and conference souvenir can be downloaded from IBAAS website WWW.IBAAS.INFO.
