Hindalco Industries Limited has further expanded its aluminium products price. With effect from Wednesday, 02 June 2021, aluminium billets price has jumped by INR 6,000 per tonne or 2.88% to stand at INR 214,100 per tonne. The company had reported billets price of INR 208,100 per tonne on May 28.
The wire rods and aluminium ingots prices stand at INR 218,100 per tonne and INR 207,000 per tonne on Wednesday, 02 June 2021, indicating a hike of INR 6,000 per tonne each from INR 212,100 per tonne and INR 201,000 per tonne.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stands at US$ 2461.5 per tonne on June 1, up from US$ 2404.5 per tonne on May 28.
Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
