Hindalco Industries hikes its aluminium billets price by INR 2,500/t to INR 234,100/t

Hindalco Industries Limited has raised its aluminium products price by more than 1%. With effect from Wednesday, 18 August 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices have come in at INR 234,100 per tonne and INR 238,100 per tonne. This is up by INR 2,500 per tonne from INR 231,600 per tonne and INR 235,600 per tonne on August 13.

Aluminium ingots price stands at INR 227,000 per tonne on Wednesday, 18 August 2021, which indicates a hike of INR 2,500 per tonne or 1.11% from INR 224,500 per tonne on August 13..

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2633 per tonne on August 17 from US$ 2644 per tonne on August 16.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
