Hindalco Industries cuts aluminium billets price by INR 1,500/t on June 18

Hindalco Industries Limited has reduced its aluminium products price by INR 1,500 per tonne. With effect from Friday, 18 June 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices stand at INR 214,100 per tonne and INR 218,100 per tonne, marking a decline of 0.7% from INR 215,600 per tonne and INR 219,600 per tonne on June 16.

Aluminium ingots price stands at INR 207,000 per tonne on Friday, 18 June 2021, a drop of INR 1,500 per tonne from INR 208,500 per tonne on 16 June 2021.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on stood at US$ 2427.5 per tonne June 17, down from US$ 2454.5 per tonne on June 16.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
