Calculate Embedded Emissions for Unwrought Aluminium (HS7601)
Enter your input
Notes:
There may be a difference when calculating the price with respect to
import volume, carbon price, and benchmark emissions, as the embedded
formula may result in minor variations due to decimal rounding.
Therefore, the actual value may vary.
CBAM is applicable to trade volumes starting from 50 metric tonnes. For trade volumes below 50 metric tonnes, CBAM does not apply.
Usage Procedure – How to use the CBAM Calculator Sheet
Enter or update values only in the
INPUT PARAMETERS section (Highlighted in blue) ,
including the carbon price, benchmark emissions, CBAM chargeable
percentage (as per the phase-in year), and imported quantity.
The system will automatically calculate the
payable emissions and the total CBAM cost (€)
based on the inputs provided.
Notes:
• Change any input value to automatically update CBAM cost.
• Formula used: Carbon price × payable emissions × quantity.
• Model aligned with CBAM supplier-side illustrative methodology.

Granco Clark to showcase novel aluminium billet precision technologies at ET16, Chicago
3MINS READ
Leading metal processing technology and equipment manufacturer Granco Clark, in their latest issue of quarterly newsletter- Precision, has updated on their four major technology inventions which they will be showcasing at this year’s ET16 to be held in Chicago from May 2-6.
Below are the important features and functionality of Granco’s aluminium billet precision technology solutions:
Granco Clark Hot Billet Saw
The Granco Clark Hot Billet Saw makes smooth, accurate cuts with no deformation. Maximizing an extrusion system’s efficiency, this saw cuts billets to the precise size required just before they enter the press cycle, eliminating the need to stock multiple-length billets.
This saw can deliver 100% log consumption. Its compensation-cut system “thinks ahead” and avoids unusable end segments that become instant scrap. Instead, it automatically cuts and stores a small piece. A patented gear transfers that piece back to the furnace between cutting cycles for subsequent use in a two-piece billet.
The Hot Billet Saw can be integrated with Fusionbond® technology from Granco Clark to displace air between segments of two-piece billets and avoid profile imperfections. It also alleviates billet-handling issues as two-piece billets are fused together, acting like one billet.
Granco Clark Precision Finish Saw
The computerized Granco Clark Precision Finish Saw is called the industry’s most-productive saw due to its speed, accuracy, reliability, safety, and ease of use. Cut lengths, straightness, squareness, parallelism, and surface microfinish are all delivered within the closest tolerances. High-speed cutting stroke rates and he back gauge advance/return speeds are fast enough to double typical productivity.
The Precision Finish Saw also features an externally mounted encoder to track positioning information, a hitch-feed feature to prevent back rake against cut parts, and an Allen Bradley controller capable of storing cutting parameters for over 500 part numbers.
Granco Clark On-Demand Billet Saw
The Granco Clark On-Demand Billet Saw is a reliable, economical billet-cutting solution that typically is used off-line or in-line before the furnace. This rugged circular saw delivers a clean, square cut. To maximize metal usage, the saw is available with automatic compensation cutting. Short pieces are automatically paired to create the billet length needed, with virtually no air entrapment between pieces.
Granco Clark Extrusion Cutoff Saws
Granco Clark Extrusion Cutoff Saws are large- capacity, high-quality, high-performance saws that provide extremely close tolerances and an excellent surface finish. They’re durable, low maintenance, and designed for safety.
By recommending and installing the right equipment – and training and supporting customers – Granco Clark has earned a record of more successful extrusion installations than any other company in North America.
