
According to Destatis, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany marked a sharp shrink in growth and the weakest expansion since 2013, as the Country’s economy grew by 0.6% only in 2019. The expansion in the gross domestic product (GDP) was in line with forecasts from economists polled by Reuters. However, Germany managed its pandemic-induced recession better than expected as private sector indicators suggested, in a hopeful sign for the economy that traditionally serves as Europe’s driver of growth. With much economic activity still constrained by COVID-19, German government moved swiftly to boost spending and that cash, along with another shot in the arm from the European Central Bank, appears to have cushioned the pandemic’s impact.

The Western European nation’s export of aluminium tubes and pipes in 2019 was recorded 28,265 tonnes and the revenue generated from the export stood at $167.71 million.

Germany’s trading destination for the export of aluminium tubes and pipes in 2019 was Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Rep., Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Japan, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA, UK, Turkey, etc.

The top ten export destinations for Germany’s aluminium tubes and pipes in 2019 illustrates that the Netherlands stand at number one position with 3225 tonnes, USA ranks number two with 2543 tonnes, France with 1649 tonnes takes the third position and consecutively comes Austria with 1505 tonnes, Poland 1345 tonnes, Czech. Republic 1343 tonnes, Turkey 1134 tonnes, China 1129 tonnes, Russia 992 tonnes and Switzerland with 780 tonnes.
The above ten destinations accounted $118.62 as export earnings for the German economy in 2019 towards the export of aluminium tubes and pipes of 15,645 tonnes.
As per the analysis the top ten destinations imported 55.35% of the German export of aluminium tubes and pipes in 2019 and the earnings contributed to the export took the share of 70.72% from the gross earnings.
