On November 17, EPI, the provider of high-quality, precise engineering jobs in UAE's aviation, oil & gas and defence sectors, declared that they had been contacted with a deal to manufacture prototype aluminium components for use during the assembly of Coyote® Counter-UAS interceptor. Raytheon, an RTX enterprise, is overseeing the Coyote® programme, which will be displayed during the Dubai Airshow today at Dubai World Central.

EPI has been offered the first contract by Raytheon to supply prototype quantities of machined aluminium and assembly parts for the Coyote® Counter-UAS interceptor. The contract includes manufacturing, complex machining, unique processes and surface treatments, quality assurance, and sub-assembly of the parts and their materials. The agreement is a testament to EPI's capabilities and expertise in this field.
Moreover, the agreement has been aligned with the 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative, a comprehensive plan for developing the UAE's industrial sector and boosting its role in stimulating the national economy. The collaboration with Raytheon Emirates was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding that was announced during this year's International Defence Exhibition (IDEX).
The CEO of EPI, Michael Deshaies, exemplified: "We are very proud to be collaborating with Raytheon, as our bespoke manufacturing services are uniquely equipped to supplement their international supply network. This contract also represents a significant step in our goals to expand our machining portfolio, localise national manufacturing capabilities, and increase the threshold for 'Made in the UAE' exported parts."
The MD of Raytheon Emirates, Fahad Al Mheiri, illustrated: "We're thrilled to team up with EPI on our Coyote localisation programme. This partnership aligns with our 'Make it in the Emirates' commitment, bolstering UAE's industrial sector. We believe EPI's precision manufacturing will be pivotal to both our Coyote work as well as the UAE's goal to strengthen key industrial sectors."
