Downstream is one of the most crucial sectors in the aluminium business since the items produced here are sourced by commercial manufacturers and any discrepancy in this particular field might create an imbalance in the entire aluminium chain. The President of the Aluminium Association of Germany, Hinrich Mählmann, notified that the gas supply crisis in Germany might push the aluminium industry into adopting emergency plans to continue energy-intensive processes inside their facilities. Many aluminium units will be on the verge of extinction if the crisis is not handled soon. On the other side, the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO) will release its final report not before the fourth quarter of 2022 for six nations under United States tariff, including China, Russia and India, regarding the duty spike of some aluminium and steel products. Italy witnessed a descending revenue generation from 2019 to 2021 in the export of aluminium structures, with earnings starting to escalate in 2022 again.
