Braidy Industries has updated construction schedule of its new aluminium rolling mill in Kentucky. Senior vice president of government relations Nathan Haney said on Tuesday that the construction of mill is on track. The company expects to break the ground on the mill in the next couple of months.

"We are still on track to break ground in the next couple of months," said Nathan Haney. "We are really shooting hard for April."
He further explained: "Our facility will be 40 acres under roof. It is a very, very big space. Phase 1 and phase 2 will be a 30-month process. Our project will add $1 million a day starting from groundbreak to finish. It's hard to fathom spending and (or) adding a million dollars to the project every single day for 30 months. It's a lot of money. It's a lot of people."
The new aluminium rolling mill will have a capacity of producing nearly 370,000 tonnes of aluminium rolled products per annum and will mainly cater to the automotive and aerospace sectors. The mill will manufacture mainly Series 5000, 6000, and 7000 aluminium sheet and plate products in the facility.
