
Amid growing concerns about demand, A00 aluminium ingot price has continued to decline by RMB 90 per tonne on Wednesday, July 24, to reach RMB 19,200 per tonne, marking almost a four-month low. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,180 per tonne and RMB 19,220 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80-40 per tonne.

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, China’s domestic A00 aluminium ingot price has edged a sharp W-o-W decline of RMB 290 per tonne from RMB 19,490 per tonne, while the price on a M-o-M basis has nosedived by RMB 1,060 per tonne from RMB 20,260 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot price across regions
In Gongyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has descended by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,090 per tonne, followed by a downfall of RMB 90 per tonne in Foshan, Hangzhou, and Tianjin to peg at RMB 19,100 per tonne, RMB 19,200 per tonne, and RMB 19,250 per tonne, respectively. In Wuxi and Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot price has shed off RMB 80 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 19,180 per tonne, while the price in Shenyang has dwindled by RMB 70 per tonne to RMB 19,170 per tonne.
China’s domestic low-carbon aluminium price has further decreased by RMB 98 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,019 per tonne, reflecting a week-on-week fall of RMB492 per tonne and a month-on-month downswing of RMB 1,002 per tonne.
The price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) has slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,500 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 26,100 per tonne and RMB 26,900 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy prices
According to SMM, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A360) price have unanimously decreased by RMB 100 per tonne, arriving at RMB 19,650 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 19,500-19,800 per tonne and RMB 19,900-20,100 per tonne, respectively.
On the other hand, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have suffered a loss of RMB 50 per tonne, each, standing at RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne. As the decline in aluminium alloys (ADC12) price has touched upon almost all the geographical demography, the cost in east and south China has decreased by RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 19,600 per tonne, while the price in the southwest has descended by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 19,800 per tonne.
Primary aluminium raw material price
Among the input costs, the price of aluminium powder has dipped by RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 22 per kg, with average prices estimated to range between RMB 21.9 and 22.1 per kg
