China’s aluminium ingot price inches up by RMB 30/t; Australian alumina FOB price stands at USD 275/t

SMM aluminium ingot price has edged higher by RMB 30 per tonne to stand at RMB 18210 per tonne on Friday, 23 April 2021, from its previous price of RMB 18180 per tonne on April 22. This marks the second consecutive hike in aluminium price. The price is expected to range at RMB 18190-18230 per tonne.

In Foshan and Wuxi, the price grew by RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 35 per tonne to stand at RMB 18250 per tonne and RMB 18210 per tonne on Friday, 23 April 2021. Aluminium prices in Hangzhou and Chongqing came in at RMB 18220 per tonne and 18200 per tonne, up RMB 25 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne.

Aluminium ingot prices in Shenyang, Tianjin, Linyi, and Gongyi increased to stand at RMB 18205 per tonne, RMB 18170 per tonne, RMB 18220 per tonne, and RMB 18090 per tonne.

The prices of aluminium alloy (ZLD102) and aluminium alloy (ZLD104) stand at RMB 18850 per tonne each and is expected to move within a range of RMB 18700- 19000 per tonne and RMB 18750- 18950 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price stands USD 2 per tonne higher at USD 275 per tonne on Friday, 23 April 2021, after remaining flat at USD 273 per tonne since April 9.
