
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, inventories of aluminium billet in China continued to decline for the fourth consecutive week due to greater deliveries and reduced arrivals. Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China stood at 174,200 tonnes as of Thursday, 02 April 2020, a decrease of 18,500 tonnes from March 26. This followed the stocks dropped 4,900 tonnes in the week ended March 26.

Inventories of aluminium billet in Foshan, Wuxi, and Changzhou came in at 74,400 tonnes, 51,620 tonnes, and 25,330, down 5,400 tonnes, 1,970 tonnes, and 2,380 tonnes from March 26. The stocks in Huzhou and Nanchang and decreased by 5,000 tonnes and 3,730 tonnes to stand at 17,000 tonnes and 5,870 tonnes.
The aluminium alloy (ADC12) price on Thursday, 02 April 2020, stood at RMB 13,800 per tonne and is expected to move within a range of RMB 13,700-13,900 per tonne. That was down RMB 150 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) decreased by RMB 200 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 12,050 per tonne and RMB 14,700 per tonne.
