China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plummets by RMB130/t; Caustic Soda price in Shaanxi losses RMB275/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has slumped by RMB 130 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,750 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on February 6. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,730 per tonne and RMB 18,770 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne.

The eight provinces in China all have witnessed slashing prices today, with the aluminium price plunging the highest in Foshan by RMB 140 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,780 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Wuxi both, the aluminium prices halted at RMB 18,885 per tonne, with a loss of RMB 135 per tonne and RMB 125 per tonne, respectively. The price of aluminium in Linyi has declined by RMB 130 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,750 per tonne. Other than that, the aluminium prices in Chongqing and Tianjin plummeted by RMB 120 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,780 per tonne each. In Shenyang, the aluminium price decreased by RMB 110 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,750 per tonne. Lastly, in Gongyi, the price of aluminium dived down by RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,630 per tonne.

The low carbon aluminium price has been on a downward slope today, with it clocking at RMB 19,362 per tonne after RMB 140 per tonne got subtracted from it.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have tumbled down by RMB 100 per tonne, closing at RMB 26,700 per tonne and RMB 27,700 per tonne.

The alumina spot price in Guizhou has gained RMB 10 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,870 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has dropped RMB 100 per tonne, stopping at RMB 19,900 per tonne, while prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shed RMB 50 per tonne, anchoring at RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne, respectively.

The price of caustic soda (32% concentration) in Shaanxi has plunged by RMB 275 per tonne and in Shanxi by RMB 220 per tonne, both resting at RMB 3,550 per tonne. The price of caustic soda flakes in Inner Mongolia has stooped to RMB 4,150 per tonne, with RMB 200 per tonne loss, while the prices of caustic soda flakes in Northeast and Shandong have both dropped RMB 50 per tonne, resting at RMB 4,050 per tonne and RMB 4,650 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder in China has seen a decrease of RMB 0.10 per kg, closing at RMB 20.40 per tonne, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.30 per tonne and RMB 20.50 per tonne.
