China’s A00 aluminium ingot price drops by RMB10/t; Australian alumina FOB price inches up by US$1/t
On Wednesday, August 9, SMM aluminium reported that China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has dipped by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 18,470 per tonne, with the spot contract prices expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 18,490 per tonne.
As per the data uploaded by Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), the price in Tianjin has gained RMB 40 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,490 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Foshan, Hangzhou, Shenyang and Linyi have fallen by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 18,450 per tonne, RMB 18,470 per tonne, RMB 18,420 per tonne and RMB 18,520 per tonne. However, in regions like Wuxi and Chongqing, the prices have remained the same to reside at RMB 18,480 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has inched up by RMB 1 per tonne to a halt at RMB 19,147 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has ascended by US$1 per tonne to settle at US$340 per tonne. The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloys (A356) and aluminium alloys (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 19,000 per tonne, RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne.
