SMM aluminium ingot price drops RMB10/t reaching July-end’s market value; China’s CIF Index of Import Bauxite gains RMB2.14/t

According to the SMM aluminium live price chart today, China’s aluminium ingot price has shed RMB 10 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,480 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,500 per tonne.

If we consider July 27, the aluminium ingot price was RMB 18,490 per tonne, which is quite close to the market average today.

China’s eight major provinces all have witnessed depleting prices today, with the aluminium ingot price decreasing the highest in Gongyi and Foshan by RMB 30 per tonne, to officially close at RMB 18,410 per tonne and RMB 18,460 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin, the aluminium ingot price lost RMB 20 per tonne to a halt at RMB 18,450 per tonne.

Other than that, all the other provinces have seen a uniform dearth of RMB 10 per tonne. The aluminium ingot price in Linyi has accumulated RMB 18,530 per tonne. In Wuxi and Hangzhou, the aluminium ingot prices have stopped at RMB 18,480 per tonne; in Chongqing, it has halted at RMB 18,470 per tonne, while in Tianjin, it has settled at RMB 18,450 per tonne. Lastly, in Shenyang, the aluminium ingot price has arrived at RMB 18,430 per tonne.

China’s price of low-carbon aluminium has dropped by RMB 30 per tonne to officially close at RMB 19,146 per tonne.

Today on August 8, the Shanghai Metal Market has catalogued a steep rise of RMB 2.14 per tonne in China’s CIF Index of Import Bauxite, with it officially halting at RMB 474.58 per tonne. The Australian Bauxite CIF experienced an augmentation of RMB 28.55 per tonne to officially close at RMB 371.10 per tonne, while the Guinea Bauxite CIF has increased by RMB 7.14 per tonne to rest at RMB 485.28 per tonne.
