China’s A00 aluminium ingot price augments by RMB190/t to RMB18,030/t; Australian alumina FOB price dips by US$2/t

On Wednesday, July 27, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has heightened by RMB 190 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,030 per tonne. The average prices for the same is expected to range between RMB 18,010 per tonne and RMB 18,050, with spot contracts trading at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and a premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price has experienced a hike in all the major Chinese provinces. A price surge of RMB 200 per tonne has been observed in Tianjin, where the price settled at RMB 18,060 per tonne, followed by a price hike of RMB 180 per tonne in Wuxi. As per the SMM data, the price in Hangzhou and Chongqing has grown by RMB 170 per tonne to record at RMB 18,060 per tonne and RMB 18,020 per tonne, respectively. In Linyi and Foshan, the price witnessed a growth of RMB 170 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,090 per tonne and RMB 17,940 per tonne. For the same day in Gongyi and Shenyang, the price has spiked by RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 160 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,960 per tonne and RMB 18,030 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has also soared up by RMB 170 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,536 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price has augmented by RMB 200 per tonne each to rest at RMB 26,000 per tonne and RMB 27,000 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has witnessed a growth of RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,150 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne. However, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) prices have remained restrained at RMB 17,450 per tonne and RMB 18,450 per tonne.
Australian alumina FOB price has gone down by US$2 per tonne to close at US$330 per tonne. The aluminium powder price in China has gained RMB 0.2 per kg to settle at RMB 19.8 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 19.7 per kg and RMB 19.9 per kg.
