China Zhongwang introduces new equipment at its aluminium train compartment production mill

To address the growing production demand, China Zhongwang’s production mill for aluminium train compartment products introduced a batch of advanced processing equipment recently. The new equipment has been installed with trial run finished, and most of the machine tools have commenced production.

The three different types of numerically controlled production center (“NCPC”) machines introduced are with advanced functions such as high cutting precision, good processing quality and high production efficiency. Besides, the NCPC machines are able to process large cross-sections, up to a maximum of 1020mm, 1600mm and 3060mm respectively, which can meet most processing requirements of different work pieces. The newly introduced three-dimensional NCPC stretch bending machine for extrusion products is equipped with the most progressive Siemens control system. With its own three-dimensional shaping bracket, the largest width between the vice jaws is 12 meters, and its maximum stretch ability reaches 100 tonnes, which helps to achieve excellent stretch bending effect on extrusion products. The new NCPC hydraulic press brake adopts German electro-hydraulic proportional servo hydraulic control system. Counting on the upper action type bending design, the precision of the bending angel can be controlled within ±0.5.

China Zhongwang keeps introducing globally leading extrusion equipment from the U.S. and Germany, including two globally unique ultra-large 225MN aluminium extrusion presses, one of which has arrived site and is under installation. It is estimated that upon its production, China Zhongwang's advantage in producing high-end large section industrial aluminium extrusion products will be further enhanced.

China Zhongwang continues to optimize its capacity of high-end large section industrial aluminium extrusion products. So far, the Group owns more than 90 world advanced extrusion lines, among which 21 are large-tonnage production lines of 75MN and above, totaling an annual capacity of over 1 million tonnes.
