
Aluminium alloy exports of China fell in both volume and value in July, revealed data published by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
Aluminium alloy export volumes stood at 66,700 tonnes in July. Valued at $327 million, the figure is down 8.3 per cent from the corresponding period previous year. Export prices of the downstream aluminium products used in automobile manufacturing were US$4.91/kg.
During the first seven months of the current financial year, exports totalled 450,400 tonnes, valued at US$2.25 billion. 
In terms of value of products shipped, the US was the top destination for China during January-July period. Total shipment value to the country accounted for 55.86 per cent of total export value.
According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export was 56,000 units in July, down 17.4 per cent than that of last month, and down 7.9 per cent year on year. Among different types, the passenger cars were 36,000 units, down 17.2 per cent than that of last month, and down 11.2 per cent year on year; while the commercial vehicles were 20,000 units, down 17.8 per cent than that of last month, and down 1.4 per cent year on year.
