China's A00 aluminium ingot price plummets by RMB170/t to RMB21730/t, aluminium alloy (A356) price plunges by RMB200/t

On Tuesday, March 15, A00 aluminium ingot price in China has fallen sharply by RMB 170 per tonne to peg at RMB 21,730 per tonne finds the Shanghai Metals Market. The average price for the same is likely to hover between RMB 21,710 per tonne and RMB 21,750 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 40-0 per tonne.

The price in Chongqing has decreased the most by RMB RMB 210 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,670 per tonne, followed by the price in Gongyi which has descended by RMB 200 per tonne to register at RMB 21,700 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Shenyang, the price has shown a downfall by RMB 175 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne to come in at RMB 21,730 per tonne. In Foshan and Wuxi, the price has plummeted by RMB 150 per tonne and RMB 170 per tonne to total at RMB 21,720 per tonne and RMB 21,725 per tonne. For the same day in Tianjin and Linyi, the price has plunged by RMB 180 per tonne and RMB 140 per tonne to score at RMB 21,740 per tonne and RMB 21,850 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (ADC12) and (A380) price has shown no change to peg at RMB 22,400 per tonne and RMB 23,400 per tonne. Only the aluminium alloy (A356) price has nosedived by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 23,250 per tonne, with the average price expected to orbit between RMB 23,200 per tonne and RMB 23,300 per tonne.

For the same day, the average alumina spot price in China has inched down by RMB 1 per tonne to close at RMB 2,974 per tonne. Price in Shandong has also fallen by RMB 40 per tonne to close at RMB 2,935 per tonne. Only in Guangxi, the price has climbed up by RMB 5 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,940 per tonne.

The price in other provinces like Henan, Shanxi and Guizhou has shown no change to close at RMB 3,000 per tonne, RMB 2,960 per tonne and RMB 2,965 per tonne. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the price has also remained constrained to total at RMB 3,225 per tonne and RMB 3,350 per tonne.
