China alumina spot price grows to RMB2352/t after more than a week-long restraint; A00 aluminium ingot price jumps by RMB140/t

After remaining restrained for the past ten days, the average alumina spot price in China has recorded an increase of RMB 12 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,352 per tonne on Monday, April 26, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

In Shanxi, alumina price has grown by RMB 15 per tonne to RMB 2,360 per tonne, while the price in Shanghai and Guangxi has gained RMB 10 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,350 per tonne. In Henan, alumina spot price has also inched up by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,345 per tonne. In Guizhou, however, alumina price has remained restrained at RMB 2,350 per tonne.

Australian alumina FOB price has also remained unchanged at US$ 275 per tonne as of April 26, 2021.

A00 aluminium ingot price has surged by RMB 140 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,350 per tonne on April 26, according to SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,330 per tonne and RMB 18,370 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-10 per tonne.

In Tianjin and Shenyang, A00 aluminium ingot price is standing at RMB 18,340 per tonne, climbing by RMB 170 per tonne and RMB 135 per tonne on April 26. In Hangzhou, the price has also grown by RMB 135 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,355 per tonne. In Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price has jumped by RMB 140 per tonne to RMB 18,350 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Foshan has increased by RMB 130 per tonne to RMB 18,220 per tonne and RMB 18,380 per tonne, respectively. In Linyi and Chongqing, primary aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 115 per tonne to close at RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,315 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (A356) price has exceeded RMB 19,000 per tonne on April 26, climbing by RMB 200 per tonne. According to SMM data, the price is standing at RMB 19,050 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne.
