Bauxite Import Create Historical New High

Chinese bauxite import reached 4478 thousand tons in September hitting new high in these four months according to China Customs, and was just close to the highest import volume in May. From January to September total bauxite import volume reached 32724 thousand tons,increasing by 52.32% yoy.
In September,Indonesia and Australia were still the main resource countries,with 3475 thousand tons from Indonesia,which was an increase of 491 thousand tons compared to last month and yoy growth of 46.27% and 1003 thousand tons from Australia which was an increase of 39.05% yoy.
