
Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China declined 6,500 tonnes from a week ago to stand at 144,500 tonne as of Thursday March 14, Shanghai Metals Market data showed.
Higher consumption and limited arrivals accounted for the decrease in aluminium billet stocks. This week, a buildup of 3,300 tonne in Foshan, Guangdong province capped the overall decline.

In Foshan, Guangdong and Nanchang, Jiangxi, the billet stocks increased 3,300 tonnes and 2,100 tonnes from Thursday, March 7 to stand 91,900 tonnes and 7,500 tonnes. In Wuxi, Jiangsu, Changzhou, Jiangsu, and Huzhou, Zhejiang, aluminium billet stocks reduced 3,900 tonnes, 3,000 tonnes and 5,000 tonnes to stand at 21,100 tonnes, 19,000 tonnes and 5,000 tonnes respectively.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) increased RMB50 per tonne to RMB14500 per tonne. The average price is expected to range between RMB14450 per tonne and RMB14550 per tonne. But aluminium alloy (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) displayed no movement from its previous price of RMB 14,800 per tonne and RMB 15,500 per tonne.

The prices of aluminium alloy (ZLD102) and aluminium alloy (ZLD104) increased RMB50 per tonne to stand at RMB14550 per tonne and RMB14500 per tonne.
